Enjoy the reading!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1>Circular economy between the need for technologies and awareness<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>By&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.techeconomy2030.it\/author\/bressanelli-perona-saccani\/\">Gianmarco Bressanelli Marco Perona Nicola Saccani<\/a>&nbsp;-10\/01\/2020&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/pinterest.com\/pin\/create\/button\/?url=https:\/\/www.techeconomy2030.it\/2020\/01\/10\/economia-circolare-tra-bisogno-di-tecnologie-e-consapevolezza\/&amp;media=https:\/\/www.techeconomy2030.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/abstract-3795219_1920.jpg&amp;description=Quali%20i%20benefici%20delle%20tecnologie%20nell%27adozione%20di%20modelli%20di%20business%20basati%20sull%27economia%20circolare?\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Extraction of natural resources, excessive waste production and global warming are problems known to all. According to a study by the United Nations Inter-Governmental Panel on Climate Change, per&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/environment\/2018\/oct\/08\/global-warming-must-not-exceed-15c-warns-landmark-un-report\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">limiting the devastating effects of climate change remain only 12 years<\/a>, rethinking production and consumption models on a global scale to take into account the concept of finite limit of resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Taking advantage of the digital technologies underlying the fourth industrial revolution to promote the introduction of a Circular Economy can be a first step towards the development of responsible production and consumption, but the path to be taken remains full of pitfalls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>How can technologies enable new circular business models?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Circular Economy is a new economic paradigm that, unlike the Linear Economy, decouples economic growth from the extraction of raw materials and the generation of waste, shifting the emphasis from maximizing &quot;flows&quot; (sale of finished products) to&nbsp;<strong>enhancement of the &quot;installed park&quot;<\/strong>&nbsp;(maintaining the materials, components and products at their maximum utility and value). If designed correctly, the Circular Economy allows you to&nbsp;<strong>generate long-term economic value<\/strong>: at the European level, a Circular transition would involve a&nbsp;<strong>cost savings on materials of up to 630 billion euros per year<\/strong>&nbsp;(reusing secondary raw materials).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In practice, and focusing on the production of goods and services (cycles of technical materials), the Circular Economy is implemented by introducing a whole series of recirculations, through&nbsp;<strong>the provision of basic services<\/strong>&nbsp;repair and maintenance, to extend the useful life of finished products;&nbsp;<strong>the provision of advanced services<\/strong>&nbsp;(<em>sharing, pay-per-use, etc.<\/em>), to maximize the use and installed base of finished products; the&nbsp;<strong><u>reconditioning<\/u>&nbsp;of finished products<\/strong>, to reuse the same product through several cycles; the&nbsp;<strong>disassembly and reassembly<\/strong>&nbsp;(<em><u>remanufacturing<\/u><\/em>), to reuse the same components several times in the creation of new products or as spare parts; the&nbsp;<strong>recycling<\/strong>, to reuse the same materials several times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"625\" height=\"348\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rpierre.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/economiacirc_economialinear_aconfronto.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-272\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rpierre.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/economiacirc_economialinear_aconfronto.png 625w, https:\/\/www.rpierre.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/economiacirc_economialinear_aconfronto-300x167.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 625px) 100vw, 625px\" \/><figcaption>Circular economy and linear economy compared<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Taken together, these&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mdpi.com\/2071-1050\/10\/3\/639)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">five recirculations<\/a>&nbsp;they allow to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li><strong>increase the efficiency of products&nbsp;<\/strong>during their use (provision of advanced sharing and pay-per-use services to quickly replace the installed base of products with energy-efficient and more performing products);<\/li><li><strong>extend its useful life<\/strong>&nbsp;(provision of basic repair and maintenance services);<\/li><li><strong>recover the residual value at the end of the cycle<\/strong>&nbsp;(through reconditioning, remanufacturing and recycling).<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Read more<a href=\"https:\/\/www.techeconomy2030.it\/2020\/01\/10\/economia-circolare-tra-bisogno-di-tecnologie-e-consapevolezza\/\"> Click here<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>R.Pierre dal 2005 offre un servizio che molto ha a che vedere con l&#8217;economia circolare.
